As we head into Father’s Day weekend, we wanted to shine a spotlight on some of the OG legends and say thank you to all of the incredible dads out there. We asked Vampers for the best pieces of advice their fathers have given them -- we even got a Dad Joke to boot!

The Making of a VideoAmp Legend: Father’s Day Edition

Creative ideas are fleeting, fragile, beautiful, ephemeral gifts. Because their origins are so mysterious, designers have developed many different processes that help kick-start creativity, making deadlines and pressures from the business a bit more manageable. As designers, our responsibility is to nurture these ideas to fruition with great care, while also satisfying stakeholders and customers.

The Critique

In March, as shelter in place orders rolled out, VideoAmp began preparing briefings for our clients on the latest patterns and trends we were seeing in how Americans were watching TV. Buyers and sellers wanted to understand how these profound events were affecting TV consumption, so they could understand how to modify strategies.

TV and the Three Phases of Quarantine

When we shifted into stay at home orders the fitness supply industry got slammed. Kettlebells, dumbbells, bands and fitness machines were stripped from their virtual shelves. Wait times for these items became weeks, then months. Instagram celebrities put fitness programs together, Peloton stock shot up and virtual boot camps became the replacement for in-person classes.

Why What We Do is Different: Virtual Fitness at VideoAmp

After graduating from the University of Michigan, I went straight into the advertising world. I started working at an agency where I was on the National Video Activation team. After two and half years’ time, I made my way to an adtech company and started working in digital advertising, gaining experience in both pre and post sales cycles. Getting to experience both sides of the process - the agency side and the solutions side - was awesome and I was hooked. In July of 2018, I made my way to VideoAmp. It’s an understatement to say that time has flown!

We Celebrate IDAHOTB

Have you ever worked for a company that allowed you to work on multiple facets of your profession while also providing new opportunities to learn totally new skills? Has a company cultivated you to find new passions? It's been almost 6 years at VideoAmp and for me, this still rings true. Of course, this doesn't come without some sacrifices and flexibility, but it all pays off.

The Transformation Series: Kaleho Naki

The first upfront presentation was made by ABC in 1962, making it undoubtedly one of the longest standing events in advertising history. Given recent events, there’s been chatter about whether or not the Upfronts will be cancelled altogether this year.
